A Happy Bread Day!

Now, bread has become a global staple which enjoyed by millions of people, regardless of nationality, religion, political belief or socio-economic status. And to celebrate how bread provide nutritional value to human body, bread lovers yearly commemorate World Bread Day!

The significant and meaningful event simply aim to spread the word how important is the bread as a vital part of humans’ physical and emotional sustenance. It also espouses the philosophy of “sharing” and “breaking” of bread as a meaningful and symbolic humanitarian act.

Of course, the Philippines will not be left behind! Through the initiative of Gardenia Bakeries Philippines, Inc. (GBPI), the company that makes the popular Gardenia bread known for its good taste, freshness, softness, oven-baked aroma and nutritive value, the Happy Bread Day is being celebrated annually in the country.

People have gathered at Eastwood City Mall Open Park in Quezon City to celebrate the momentous event. The full festive treat was packed with fully enjoyable activities all throughout the day as it was designed for the entire family or companies of friends to a fun bonding experience.

The day started with the “Gardenia Taste-Surround 3D (Delightful, Delicious, Delectable) Experience,” Bread lovers also stormed various “bread corners”  including the “Sweet Corner” for sweet treats using Gardenia breads; “Healthy Corner” for the health-conscious ones who love enjoying Gardenia bread “lean and mean”; “Savory Corner” and the “Beverage Corner” for a thirst-quenching treat.

Simultaneously, various games and tricks were also held every hour for the enjoyment of kids and the kids-at-heart, or even adults and their friends.
