QC Ladies Upholds Women Beauty Through “Project Ganda”

Quezon City Ladies Foundation Inc. President Harlene Bautista Tejedor & UNICEF Philippines Ambassadress Antoinette Taus, QCFFI unveils “Project Ganda” a mural painting project of Quezon City Ladies Foundation Incorporated in honor of all Filipina.

Its more than a thousand strong leadership is composed of women community leaders from all over the City. Its priority projects are focused on health, education, livelihood, issue advocacy and human rights which are geared primarily towards addressing the needs of the City’s women and children.

Aims to put up up to 20 murals in public places across the city within the year.
The murals are painted by volunteers coming from different sectors.

Last March 11, 2017, the board members and district officers of QC Ladies gathered together to launch their first ever mural under Project Ganda. Invited guest speakers include lady advocates. One of which is Ms. Antoinette Taus, a celebrity and empowered philanthropist, an ambassadress of UNICEF in the Philippines, who also have founded an organization that’s promoting sustainable projects, Cora Cares. Also part of the inspirational speaker line up is Ms. Toinkee Tomen, who is pioneering the fight for rights of little people in the country. “There are the kinds of women that we want to have in the society. Strong and confident, This is why we’re doing these murals. To hopefully strengthen beautiful souls through simple mural reminders,” says Ms. Tejedor. The event was also made to officially announce a call for volunteers and sponsors to make to make PROJECT GANDA a real success.
